How home buyer cashback works in Ontario
When an Ontario home purchase closes, the seller's brokerage may pay a cooperating commission to the brokerage representing the buyer. Under an eligible cashback plan, part of the commission actually received can be returned to the buyer after closing.
Your estimated rebate depends on the purchase price, the commission received and how much search support you need. Buyers who are pre-approved and have already selected a property may qualify for a different plan than buyers who need an extended home search.

Each plan includes professional offer support, negotiation and closing coordination. The difference is the amount of property-search assistance included. Before signing, your exact services, eligibility requirements and estimated cashback are confirmed in writing.

How much cashback can an Ontario home buyer receive?
Eligible buyers may receive up to 1.5% of the purchase price under the Offer Ready plan, up to 1% under the Guided Search plan, or up to $7,000 under the Flexible Search plan. Limits, service minimums and complete terms apply.
When is the cashback paid?
Eligible cashback is paid after the purchase closes successfully and the brokerage receives the cooperating commission.
